Claims of Exemption
Florida Rules of Civil Practice and Procedure chapter 77 discusses garnishment of wages, money and property by someone that you owe money to that has obtained a money judgment against you. The statute allows individuals who are head of household and many that receive varies government benefits to be exempt from collection through garnishment as to wages, certain monies in bank accounts, and specific types of accounts.
If you receive a notice that a creditor has a judgment and they are attempting to garnish your wages, money or property and you want assistance in objecting to the garnishment
