Post Judgment Family Issues

A dissolution of marriage is either resolved by agreement of the parties in the form of a marital settlement agreement and when there are minor children, a parenting plan or by the Judge assigned to the case at trial.  There are times that an agreement and/or Order is not complied with by one or both parties and one or both parties want the court to enforce the agreement and/or order.

Others may have an issue that was not foreseen by the parties at the time of the dissolution.  This is most often the case when it comes to alimony and/or child support, where one of the parties is earning substantially more or less then when the support was originally calculated.  Sometimes, one of the parties meets someone or gets a job offer in another State and wants to move but there are minor children, so a Petition for Relocation may need to be filed or a new timesharing arrangement is needed that will address transportation issues and costs.

Whatever issue you may be experiencing after a final judgment of dissolution of marriage or entry of a determination of paternity, if you need assistance,

which addresses issues related to equitable distribution of the parties marital assets and liabilities, alimony also known as spousal support, and other specifics unique to each family.
